Description

This venison chili recipe is a hearty and flavorful dish that is perfect for a cold day. It is made with ground venison, vegetables, and a variety of spices for a delicious and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1# Ground Beef (venison)
  • 1 Medium Onion chopped
  • 1/2 Red Bell Pepper chopped
  • 1/2 Package Soyrizo
  • 1 package Lipton Onion Soup mix
  • ~1/2 tsp Cumin
  • ~1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • ~1 Tbs Chili Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 large can Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 small can Rotel
  • 2 15oz cans Kidney Beans (rinsed, don’t want the starch water)
  • 2 15oz cans Chili Beans (don’t rinse you want the bean liquid)

Optional

  • Sour Cream
  • More Onion
  • Cilantro

Method

  1. Brown ground beef in a little oil
  2. Add onion, peppers, and soyrizo and sauté until soft
  3. Add tomatoes, rotel, beans, and seasonings
    1. Simmer for 1 hour. Optionally pressure cook
