Description
This Spicy Asian Coleslaw is a refreshing and flavorful twist on traditional coleslaw. The combination of chipotle, sesame seeds, fish sauce, and fresh herbs creates a unique and delicious dressing that will elevate any meal.
Ingredients
- 1 chipotle or smoked jalapeno (I usually use about 2 of the canned peppers)
- 1 cup toasted sesame seeds
- 1/3 cup fish sauce
- 2/3 cup rice vinegar
- 1 T chopped garlic
- 1 T grated ginger
- 1 T chopped lemon grass
- 1 bunch cilantro, chopped
- 1 T chopped fresh basil
- 1 T chopped fresh mint
- Juice of 2 limes
- 4 cups bagged coleslaw cabbage mix with the carrots in it (you can adjust the amount of cabbage to suit the texture you like)
Method
- Place all sauce ingredients into a blender.
- Process until thoroughly mixed.
- Pour over cabbage.
- Mix gently to coat.
